Sheep Dog Trials Festival Schedule - August 7, 8 & 9 2020

Friday and Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Sheep Dog Trials Competition

Sunday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday, Double Lift Final (the top 20 dogs compete)
Bring your lawn chair and a sun shade if you have one, and watch the drama unfold in the trials field.

*Shade tents and an accessible seating area is available on a first come, first served basis.

Dog Lovers Days - Canadian Canine Lure Course
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Run your dog through the best “lure” course around and see if your family pet can become an agility star!

Doggie Play Zone
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

With so much room for free play; your dog will be sure to enjoy the Nutram Doggy Play Zone! This consists of a 1,500 square feet fenced in play area with lots of activities for your pets to run, jump and play with other canines. Make sure to check it out at this year’s Sheep Dog Trials Festival!

The Market Place - Craft, Artisan’s and Vendor’s Fair
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Visit more than two dozen craft and vendor booths in and around the big white tent. They offer a good mix of commercial products and hand-crafted items for you and your pet. Vendors are on-site all day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kingston Police K-9 Demonstrations
11:00 a.m.

Catch a glimpse of the world of policing as you watch the Kingston Police K-9 Unit perform criminal apprehension and obedience demonstrations, narcotic searches and more!

DockDogs Worldwide
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Is your dog a natural water dog? Enter your canine companion in the DockDogs competition – or just come to watch and be amazed! Check out the “try it” sessions for your dog.

Kingston Police – Mobile Engagement Trailer
Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Considering a career and policing? Learn about the world of policing at the Mobile Engagement Trailer!

Face Painting (by donation)

Come and get your face painted for a good cause. All proceeds go to our local children’s theatre group: The Not So Amateur Amateurs

Spinning and Weaving Demos - Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Sheep-to-Shawl Competition – Saturday - 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Shawl Auction – Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

John Walker - Artisan and General Blacksmith, Fallen Willow Forge
Demonstrations will take place all day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Wolf Creek Carvings
Carvings will take place all day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Perfect for art enthusiasts, nature lovers, and everyone in between, Wolf Creek Carvings will be joining us this year to demonstrate the mesmerizing art of wood carving. Watch as master carver Robin Deruchie and his team show us their skills as they create hand carved pieces as part of an entertaining all day event. Enjoy hours of fun and join Wolf Creek Carvings in celebrating beauty inspired by nature.

Durham Agricultural Exhibit
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The All About . . . Farming agriculture educational trailer farm display is a travelling exhibit packed full of beautiful static displays, interactive activities, and ideas that will help you to learn all about farming and the source of your food, fiber, and other products. The exhibit offers fascinating ways of promoting sustainability and buying locally produced goods from your farmers.
