The Schedule

Sheep Dog Trials Festival Schedule - August 9 - 11, 2024

- Friday and Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Sheep Dog Trials Qualifying Competition and Sunday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Double Lift Final (the top dogs compete for the title)
Bring your lawn chair and a sun shade if you have one, and watch the drama unfold in the trials field. *Shade tents are available on a first come, first served basis.

- All Weekend Long:
     - Vendor Village: Find various wares for purchase for both dogs and their owners  
- Local Food Vendors: Smoke N' Barrell, Scoops, JoJo's, Mio Gelato, and JP Weirdoughs
- FREE Dog Lure Course, provided by DogLoversDays and sponsored by Holiday Inn Waterfront: Put your dog's speed to the test from 9:30am - 4:00pm
- Sheep Shearing Demonstrations: Watch the art of sheep shearing every hour, on the hour from 9:00am - 4:00pm
- Canadian Raptor Conservancy sponsored by Holiday Inn Waterfront: Get up close and personal with Canada's various species of birds of prey! Three shows daily at 11:00am, 1:30pm, and 4:00pm under the Picnic Shelter
- Absolute Agility Dog Agility Shows: Coordinated Canines show off their skills with three different shows daily at 10:00am, 12:30pm, and 3:00pm

- Carriage Derby Racing: Saturday at 12:00pm on the Trial Field!
- Face Painting: Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am - 3:30pm

- Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners:
- Spinning and weaving educational displays and demonstrations on Friday and Sunday from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Come see the beautiful art that goes into making woolen masterpieces!
- Sheep to Shawl Competition: Starting Saturday at 9:00am, watch local guilds race to complete a beautiful shawl before the clock runs out! Judging of the finished shawls takes place at 2:00pm.
